Consistently Well BEGINS!
Hello Hello and Welcome!
As my first blog post on this new website, I wanted to introduce myself! My name is Mary Rust and I am the founder of Consistently Well. I am originally from the small town of Rexburg Idaho. I love fitness, nutrition, Harry Potter, the beach, hiking, etc. My wonderful husband, Mitchell, and I are moving to Austin Texas in a couple months! I’m mostly thrilled but also a little bit terrified… New adventures and journeys have always made me excited. But it’s been a while since I had a big move and I could use all the advice (leave a comment).
From a young age, health and wellness has defined my life. I grew up playing sports and was blessed to have parents that fed us healthy food. This led me to a great love for pursuing fitness challenges. Exercise is my greatest passion- I’ve ran a marathon, several half marathons, and teach fitness classes. My next goal is to train for a sprint triathlon but I definitely need some help in the swimming department.
Because health has greatly changed my life, I wanted to learn how to help others. I pursued a degree in Exercise and Wellness at BYU determined to learn what a true healthy lifestyle looks like. I also earned certifications in nutrition coaching, health coaching, personal training, cycling, diabetes lifestyle management, and others (see below). My education and training confirmed to me that taking care of our bodies can help us better kill it in our daily lives and demands! Proper fitness, nutrition, and emotional health allows us to function at our full capacity.
My wellness journey has been an interesting one! There have been happy times and hard times. I have had times where I've obsessed over the number on the scale. I've counted calories and deprived myself. I've over-exercised my body. I've dieted. And throughout every effort, I felt successful for a few weeks, only to feel like I was a failure when I messed up. My experience and education led me to an incredible realization..... Consistency is better than the perfect plan you can't stick to!
The little habits and skills learned over time and done consistently make ALL the difference!! Consistency in your health leads to an abundant and healthy life! If you feel like you need more consistency in your life, then you are definitely in the right place!
My focus is to help new moms, ages 25-40, who are looking to get active and eat better so they can drop their baby weight and feel more energetic! This is done by consistent healthy habits :)
I work with women who want to:
Eat better, without dieting or feeling deprived
Build fitness into their life, without it taking over
Achieve and maintain their goals, even when life gets busy
To sum it all up, I love health and I love helping people like you become your best healthy self! YOU are the expert of your health and I am here to guide you through the process.
